Koreans concerned about Son's drought ahead of World Cup

Concerns over Son Heung-performance min's in Seoul have increased as his goalless streak for Tottenham this season has grown to eight games, just months before the World Cup.

Son earned the 2021–22 Premier League Golden Boot, which is awarded to the league's top scorer. However, he has yet to score this year.

Additionally, Son's performance is receiving more attention from South Korean media as the nation prepares to participate in soccer's premier competition for the tenth consecutive year.

Concerns were allayed when Son was included to the roster for the national team's exhibition games against Cameroon and Costa Rica the following week. National team coach Paulo Bento.

Bento said, "There is no worry, and I feel the same as when he's scoring a lot," and he added that he has no intention of bringing up the subject with his captain.

Son is not the only Korean forward having trouble with his form or getting picked.

Hwang Hee-chan has been having trouble getting Premier League playing time for Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Hwang Ui-jo has yet to score this year for either Bordeaux or his new team Olympiakos.
