JIMMY KIMMEL SLAMMED ONLINE FOR EMMYS SKIT Stealing Moment From Quinta Brunson

Jimmy Kimmel has faced harsh criticism online because many people feel that a comedy he and Will Arnett did as presenters stole Quinta Brunson's thunder.

At the Emmy Awards on Monday night, Arnett and Kimmel gave the award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

As he stated that Kimmel had had too many margaritas backstage, Arnett brought a "passed out" Kimmel onto the stage and put him out next to the microphone stand.

Even though Brunson sarcastically said, "Jimmy, wake up. I won," after Arnett announced her name as the winner and she took the stage, Kimmel kept up the joke.

As Brunson finished her address, Jimmy sat quite close to her, making it virtually difficult for the show's producers to snap a picture of her without him in it.

Following the incident, Twitter went wild with people expressing their disapproval of Kimmel's choice, writing things like, "Jimmy Kimmel owes Quinta an apology

but the screwed up part is every image of her getting her award has his ass in it. White males truly are annoying."

White male privilege, according to one speaker, is "lying on the ground and expecting a Black woman to just stroll around you when she collects her hard-earned medal."

Brunson, who will appear on his show on Wednesday, didn't appear to be bothered by the incident, telling reporters after the show, "I think in that moment, I was just really happy that it was Jimmy up there.

I don't know, tomorrow maybe I'll be mad at him. I might punch him in the face. I don't know. We'll see what happens."
